Are You Where You Want to Be in Life?

Are you where you want to be in life - financially, health-wise, relationships or your career? Silly question? I don't think so. I've asked myself this question dozens of times during my life and I have to admit more often than not the answer to one of the life areas was - no.
In life, you can only be one of three places (I'm being general here) - where you were or have been, where you are now and where you will be in the future. I know this might at first seem a bit confusing but think about it - for example - where are you now - in your car, your office your kitchen or backyard - the simple answers.
Where do you want to be tomorrow - the hard answers - because here's where it can get a bit tricky. But, keep this question in mind generally - don't get into the weeds about every single life area - just consider the bigger picture of your life. For example in the future - you want to be with someone or someone different, you want to be working somewhere else or retired, you want to be better off financially or you want to rid yourself of this current negative health condition that is plaguing you now - yes there are hundred's more questions like these - I used these to keep the process but not necessarily the results - simple.
Here's the challenge. You will ultimately be where today takes you - so if you want to be somewhere different tomorrow you have to take the action to get there - today. Fail to take it and tomorrow you will be in the same place you are now - and again to be clear - I'm not talking here about whether you are in your car or the kitchen, I'm confident if you are still reading you have figured out the subtleties I am trying to share.
So, where do you want to be that's a different place tomorrow? Go ahead take a minute and jot down a few items like - better or different; job, relationship, where you live, what you drive, who your friends are, how healthy you are, your financial condition- go ahead - write them down - as many as you can - trust me you can't get there if you are not clear about where "there" is. And why - well if you don't know what they are what do you think the chances are they things will change or be different tomorrow than they are today?
I will guarantee that everyone wants something better, new or different tomorrow in some area of their life - to be younger, to be with different people, to be living someplace new, etc. Whether it's a small difference or a major one is not the issue - what is the issue - is your willingness to either let go of the wish, goal, plan or desire - essentially give up or settle - OR to take the necessary moves or steps today to get there or to start to make it happen.
Why do people wish for something better or different and then do nothing to get there? Why do they settle? Why do they give up or in? Why do they quit? I could go on for hours or pages but how about just three (yes there are many more) quick reasons; 1) The fear of the unknown future - will it really be better or different or should I just stay where I am? Can I control the future? What if it doesn't turn out the way I hoped? 2)The fear of rejection or failure - what if I try and don't succeed?
What if I go for it and people laugh at me for doing so at this stage or time in my life? 3)The fear of success. What if I do go for it and get it or achieve it and it doesn't live up to my expectations or needs?
Here's the major problem that you are facing if you have any of these three fears - you are tending to define your future by your past or present; experiences, attitudes, outcomes, choices, etc. In other words, you have always struggled financially so why expect that the future will be any different. You have always been disappointed in relationships so why should you anticipate that the future will be better or different? Everyone, you know in your age group, gender, race, religion, etc. has never done what you want to do? Got it - with these mindsets you are letting the decisions or choices of others or your past rule your ultimate future.
No one knows what is around the next corner whether you are broke or a millionaire, stupid or the smartest person in the room, healthy or really sick, beautiful or handsome or ugly as sin, etc. No one knows how actions, choices, decisions or anything will be or turn out tomorrow. It's all about desire, faith, courage, passion, effort, and acceptance and yes - resilience, self-trust, patience, and hope. If you don't have these - stay stuck. If you have them - go for it.

Good Days or Bad Days

Ever had a bad day... a good one? Had more bad ones than good ones in a week or month? Had more good ones in a year than you feel you deserved? Dumb questions? Well, trust me I have a lot more, but I'll save them for another time but let me ask you two more... How do you define good and bad? And, in the end, which ones helped you grow, learn, become or contribute more to others? More dumb questions? I don't think so but I'm writing this article so the real answers are up to you, but I would ask you to finish reading before you decide on your answers. So here goes.
What's a good day?
So, today - you got a raise, didn't get a flat tire, had lunch with friends, had a wonderful date night with your spouse, got a text from your Doc. and he said you have a clean bill of health and the good stuff just kept on coming - all in all - a good day.
What's a bad day? You got bad news from your dentist, the AC in your car crashed, you lost your favorite - whatever - your kids got in trouble in school and yes, so much more.
So, let me ask you - who or what is in charge or in control of your day - you or the stuff that happens during the day? In other words, when good stuff happens you have a good day and when bad stuff happens, well it's a bad day. See where I'm going with this. If the stuff that happens determines whether your day is a good one or a bad one - you are not in control of your day - your day (the stuff that happens) is in control of you.
Here's the bigger problem - the same could be said of weeks, months or even years. Are you having a good year or a bad one? Are you having a good life or a bad one? I mean I could go on and on with this crap but I'm sure you have got it by now. All I'm asking is as you go through life, no matter how long or short it is or what happens or what doesn't or what you get or what you lose, etc. - who or what is in control?
My observations over the years having spoken on 25 countries and met thousands of people around the world is simply that the majority of people are not in control of their days, oh if you asked them all, they think they are and would say they are, but watch how they react or respond to the stuff that happens throughout the day or week, etc. and then ask yourself the simple question - who or what do you think is in control of their life? A better question is which is in control of your days/life?
Here's a thought - stop labeling your days as good or bad, just be glad you got another one cause do you know how many people die every day in this world - well it's over 150,000 - you weren't one of them today so - today is a good day?
Here's another thought - generally we learn little from the good days or good stuff that happens on what we call good days. It's the perceived bad days, events, situations, people or circumstances that we call or define as bad that often give us the greatest opportunities for faster growth, new learning, new creative ideas or solutions, and overall increased wisdom. So, consider that the bad days, in the end, might actually be better than the good days - what an amazing concept - but you might want to keep it to yourself as sharing it with others - well, they might think you have gone off the deep end.

Here Are The Advantages of Reading Motivational Quotes

One of the greatest motivational speakers Tony Robbins, once said, "In life, you need either inspiration or desperation."
Just as harsh as it sounds, the truth is that we all are desperate in our lives. Desperate to become happy. Desperate to be at peace. Desperate to succeed.
And has this desperation taken us anywhere good? Don't think so! Stress, anxiety, depression are common to us. So, if a few words can motivate you to find relief, the question is why not? If a few words can boost your morale, the question is why not? Motivational quotes have an important role to play in our lives.
If you are still not convinced about the power of motivational quotes, here are a few advantages that will convince you otherwise.
Motivational Quotes Simplify Complex Ideas
"Sometimes you have to give yourself pep talks"
No offense to anyone, but hours of lecture on motivation can be boring. Compiling the ideas together into a book that features self-improvement quotes has a greater appeal. One simple quote can express ten different ideas without boring you out. In fact, a single quote can have more positive implications on a person downtrodden with negative thoughts than long lectures and presentations.
It is easy to remember them (and use for daily references)
"Life is a one-time offer, use it well!"
Incantations are extremely powerful. When you keep repeating the same thing again and again, your subconscious mind becomes aware of it. And once you penetrate the deep wall of your subconscious mind, your brain will work according to it. Since encouraging quotes are easy to remember, you can keep reminding yourself of the same to guide you, and get a result that is effectively positive.
These are the most effective inspirational tools
"It is always the simple that produces the marvelous" - Amelia Barr
Whether you are depressed or stressed, feeling low or just blank, a little motivation can never help. While there are different types of inspirational tools, a motivational quotes book is the most effective one out there. Reading those arousing words can help you channel your negative emotions and deal with them constructively.
They help share POVs
"We may encounter many defeats but we must not be defeated." - Maya Angelou
You are not alone! Somewhere someone has been experiencing the same problems as you. And a piece of advice from such a person, with whom you will never meet, but share a wonderful connection of hearts is the best gift for you. So, the nest time you fuss and fret over an issue, search for a quote as such. You will be at ease!
You can find them everywhere
We live in a world that is primarily controlled by the internet (and let us not focus on the cons for once; let us use this gift as a source of all things good as well). And the fact is that encouraging life quotes are easier to come across than finding tickets to lectures. They are free of cost and scattered in abundance all over the internet. Be it Facebook or Instagram, Twitter or Pinterest, you will find one perfectly suiting your temperament easily available. And you should definitely be taking advantage of that!
Motivational Quotes help you move forward
"Push yourself because no one else is going to do it for you."
Inspirational quotes remind you to move forward in life. That is self-explanatory! When you feel stuck somewhere, stuck in the past, recycling the old memories, one right quote can motivate you to get up and, move past your past regrets and have a fresh approach to life. Motivation quotes are the support you will ever need.
Because motivational quotes push you to take actions
"Thoughts Become Words, Words Become Actions, Actions Become Who You Are"
You think, you plan but fail to take an initiative. An inspirational quote can help you take that action which you were failing to take. These quotes remind you to take action, not just reflect your life with empty words. That should be enough to help you get up and get going.
Motivational Quotes act like a coach
Be it, Zig Ziglar, Tony Robbins or Nick Vujicic, these people have provided us with ample of inspirational quotes to move forth in life and achieve our dreams. Since they are not available for a session physically, reading their pieces of motivation can act as the perfect guide in your life.
So, stop contemplating and start reading!
This is no time to whine. So what you failed your exam? So what your boss doesn't appreciate you? So what life is unfair? Pick a motivational quote, get ample encouragement, put your act together and walk forth. Always remember-
"Never let a stumble be the end of your journey"
Reading the motivational books make you indulge more and more towards the content and help you relate with your life's definition. We all need motivation in our life to fulfill all our dreams and aspirations and look at life from a new window.

Dream It and Do It

Sometimes life robs us of our dreams and we end up feeling empty and discouraged. The most common areas of dreams getting derailed are: health, wealth, love, ambition, spiritual development and family. With losses like these, confusion, frustration and fear can monopolize one's mind when their dreams come crashing down. There may be times when all of our energy has been invested in a particular outcome, only to have it
Sometimes life robs us of our dreams and we are left feeling empty and evaporate. This could create a sense of having hit a wall with nowhere to turn. This disheartening state is an ideal time to receive some spiritual insight through a psychic reading. Psychic guidance can be instrumental in helping one to move forward and create a new vision for one's life. There are always alternate dreams available if one is simply willing to expand their perspective, open their mind and trust in their soul's wisdom.
How does one learn to trust in their soul's wisdom? Let's look to mother nature for that answer. Nature has patterns and rhythms that are both subtle and profound as do our lives. In the cycle of life, the fall leaves drop from the colorful trees. This shedding of what is no longer needed precedes wintertime. The winter is then followed by spring where seeds are planted for new beginnings and this then leads to summer growth and harvest and a new cycle begins. Our lives resemble these unending cycles of life but in a wider sphere of context and existence. We may be in the spring of our life financially, yet in the winter of life regarding our health. The hardest phase of life to deal with is the winter of the soul. At this point, one may feel as though they are doing all they can to live their dreams but, the intended results are not yet shown on the outside. However, rest assured there is growth and strengthening happening deep inside on a soul level.
This place of emptiness is where one enters the great unknown. From this void, life can become full again. Courage, fortitude and faith to move forward can be discovered within. Like seeds being planted in spring that offer new hope, our souls can inspire us. We can learn how to release that which is no longer serving oneself, just as the trees drops their leaves in the fall. The key is to not run away, but rather to listen deeply inside to the voice of the innermost heart. This voice is always calling each of us home to our unique path and purpose. No one else can fulfill our personal destiny. Most importantly, remember to keep an open mind and don't give up on believing that a new dream can emerge from the rubble of your shattered hopes, goals and visions. Trust in the infinite wisdom of your soul's nature and in your ability to navigate through the challenges that come. Dream again and dream big! You can do it.

Practice Patience and Flexibility

One of my favorite shows got dumped from Netflix. I know that's not an earth-shattering event, nor for that matter are most of the annoying hiccups of daily life: the trash pickup doesn't happen, the stylist you've come to depend on leaves the salon, the dog/cat breaks your favorite dish.
I find though, that if I'm not mindful, I can let these annoyances turn me into Ms. Grinch, not a pleasant consequence for those around me, much less myself. Granted, there's that immediate hit we get from blaming someone/something, but frankly things just don't go well for me when I'm in Grinch-mode. I can't afford to stay there for very long.
Lately I've been telling myself something a dear friend shared with me. She was about to embark on a family vacation. Lest you cry "So what? No big deal!" let me point out that her family of 20, all traveling together, included four generations, the oldest of which are somewhat health-and-energy-challenged, the youngest of which (great-grandchildren) are a blur-joy. You know, the running around in circles, high-octane munchkins.
My friend's way of coping with the ensuing mayhem, hilarity and general chaos of corralling these disparate folk onto airplanes, through airport connections, into a foreign country, and then through the two-week vacation itself, was to remind herself of how her grandfather approached travel; "Patience and flexibility" he would say. All it takes is "patience and flexibility."
What a great mantra for life! I mean, really, apart from the few major disasters that we may suffer through our lives, most of our daily irritations and annoyances are readily solved with a dose of "patience and flexibility." OK, so my favorite show got nuked. Well, with a little patience and flexibility, I'll find something I enjoy just as much. The trash didn't get picked up. The nice lady at the trash company asks if I'm willing to wait an extra few days for pick up. Of course I am. Nothing horrible will happen if the bin is out there two more days. I can always find another stylist, it's not the first time. And, I did love that dish, but oh well. I'm certainly not going to live without pets.
Thus it is. I find that if I just say to myself, "Self, be patient. You'll figure out something. Be flexible. There's always another way," my irritation quickly dissolves, my load is lighter, and somehow the day goes better.

THOUGHT for TODAY

The Story of a Big Dreamer

He had big dreams since his childhood. At the age of nine he started playing cricket. He wanted to play cricket at national level. He wanted to become the best bowler of the world. He wanted to become the Captain of the national cricket team. He wanted to be recognized as the greatest player in the cricket history. His dream came true when he became the national hero by leading Pakistani Cricket Team to the World Cup victory in 1992. He got what he wanted.
He did not stop here. He had another bigger dream. His focus was shifted from self to others. He wanted to build a hospital for free of cost treatment of the poor cancer patients of the country. He discussed his dream with twenty doctors. Nineteen doctors said "it's impossible". Only one said "yes, it's possible". He disregarded nineteen doctors who said "no" and sided with one doctor who said "yes". And the result, he was able to build the first cancer hospital of the country in the private sector. His dream came into reality when he inaugurated the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital in 1994, named after her mother who died of cancer in 1985.
He again did not stop here. He had yet another much bigger dream. He wanted to become the Prime Minister to bring drastic changes in the country for the benefit of the common people. As he was not satisfied with the working of the existing political parties, he established his own political party by the name of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). In the beginning, people did not take him seriously as a politician because he had no experience of politics. Therefore, he received a lot of criticism and discouragement not only from other politicians but also from common men. It was not easy for a cricketer to become the Prime Minister but he is a man who never compromises on his dreams. He was dead sure that he will become the Prime Minister. He worked hard and after many failures he was finally succeeded in achieving what he had dreamed. He became the Prime Minister of the country in August 2018. No doubt, Imran Khan, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, is a BIG DREAMER and a high achiever.
Imran Khan has some rules of success. I am giving below his Top Seven Rules of Success. I am sure, anyone can achieve unbelievable success if follow these rules:
1. Dream big. Whatever you can dream, you can achieve.
2. Work hard. You cannot achieve success without working hard.
3. Be honest with yourself and with others.
4. Conquer your fear of failure. Fear will never make you succeed.
5. Learn from your mistakes.
6. Don't give up. You only lose when you give up.
7. Be humble, polite and kind to people and ready to serve them.

Why Is Having a Big, Worthy Goal So Important?

Human beings are goal-orientated creatures by nature. We are, as far as we know, the highest form of creation and we are supposed to set goals.
We are supposed to look for ways to improve our own lives and those of the lives around us - it plays a huge part in the evolution of our species.
Dissatisfaction with your life is a healthy, creative state of mind - we are DESIGNED to be discontent!
Creative discontent is the very heart of motivation, and yet so many people settle for what they currently have (and often complain about it) rather than taking measures to improve things.
These are usually the same people who, when you tell them about any potential goals/dreams you may be considering will tell you to 'stop fantasising'.
They'll ask you why you 'can't just be happy with what you've got and leave it at that'.
But the truth is, in order for any human being to live a fulfilled, creative life, goals are essential.
One of the most dynamic laws of the universe is the Law of Creation and Disintegration. Absolutely NOTHING will stay as it is - you are either improving the quality of your life or, by default, you are taking away from it, in one way or another.
The choice is yours. It's a decision only you can make and making no decision is to make a decision.
The fact is, it is only when a person becomes sufficiently dissatisfied with their life as it is now, that they will begin to think of ways to improve it - they will decide on a goal.
Dissatisfaction has given us cars, planes, TV and the internet. It has taken us out of the cave and put us into skyscrapers.
We would still be reading by wax candlelight if Thomas Edison had not experienced a deep dissatisfaction with the candle.
Start to think about how you're living now. The things you do from the minute you wake up until you close your eyes at night.
Now think about how you'd LIKE it to be - how, with the infinite potential you possess, that scenario might be improved upon.
Keep thinking about this - several times a day, every day - and you can be sure that dissatisfaction will set in, if it hasn't already.
Someone once said "In the absence of clearly defined goals, we become strangely loyal to daily acts of trivia."
Isn't that true? So many people fill their days with meaningless tasks that result in... nothing. Or just more of the same.
Goal achievers aren't bogged down by such acts of trivia. They're interesting people. They're productive, happy people.
A goal achiever frequently accomplishes more with his or her life in one year than most people do in a lifetime.
Which way would you rather live?

10 Ways to Raise Your Vibration

What does it mean to raise your vibration? It means, simply, to improve the way you feel. To shift from a negative state to something that feels more positive. To change your thoughts from weakening worry to empowering gratitude. To express love and kindness instead of anger or judgement. When we feel good, we radiate goodness. And right now we need a whole lotof goodness in this world!
Here are some suggestions. Find what works for you. Practice daily.

And remember, any time you feel even a little happier, better, lighter, or more peaceful, you are raising your vibration.

Smile. Smile in the mirror. Smile at people. Smile at animals. Smile at people in the store. Smile as you read something inspiring. Smile because you're you. Smile right now. Smiling tells your brain to release feel-good neurotransmitters such as serotonin and dopamine.

Journal. Journaling will help you release whatever is nagging at your mind. Release it and let it go. No need to re-read.
Commit Acts of Kindness. Practice kindness. Open doors for people. Let people go ahead of you in traffic. Do something nice for an elderly neighbor. Call or text a friend to tell them how much you appreciate them. Acts of kindness don't have to be enormous. When done spontaneously they bring joy to both you and to your recipient.
Clear and Cleanse. Use tools such as dry brushing, shower, salt bath, sauna, and sound bath to help you detoxify. By releasing toxic stagnancy, you will naturally raise your vibration.
Chant. Chanting a yogic, or Sanskrit mantra, repetitively, will help boost brain function, and reduce stress and anxiety. These mantras are designed tune your system to a higher vibration. Choose a mantra that appeals to you, and chant it for 108 times daily for maximum benefit.
Move. Movement moves stagnant energy. Exercise. Dance. Do yoga. Take a walk in Nature, where you'll get bonus points from all the high-vibe negative ions. Any time we release stagnant energy, we feel better. The better you feel, the higher your vibration.
Meditate. Meditation helps you tune into Divinity within you. It can also assist you in receiving guidance from invisible (or visible) sources. Meditation helps you tune into the higher vibrations of love, peace, and gratitude.
Use EFT Tapping. EFT Tapping will help release unwanted 'negative' emotions that pull down your vibration. Sometimes we're not even aware that we have underlying low feelings such as shame, anger, or self-doubt. EFT can help us pinpoint and release these feelings, so we can raise our vibration.
Practice the Heart Breath. The Heart Breath is a beautiful way to bring yourself into heart energy, the energy of unconditional love. Unconditional Love radiates at a very high vibration.
To practice this breath, close your eyes, breath slowly and deeply, and imagine you're breathing from your heart. Breath this way for 30 seconds or as long as you like.
Express Gratitude. Gratitude is a powerful way to help us shift from a place of lack and scarcity. By appreciating even the smallest things in our lives, we fill ourselves with sweet gratitude, and a feeling that all is well.
